4th Annual Touch-A-Truck

The Calhoun County Blue Line Foundation’s 4th Annual Touch-A-Truck will return this fall, bringing local first responders, specialized vehicles, aircraft and families together for a FREE community event.
Touch-A-Truck gives children and families an opportunity to get an up-close look at the vehicles and specialized equipment used by the agencies that serve our communities.
Kids can explore police vehicles, fire trucks, ambulances, BearCats, mobile command units and other specialty equipment. Past events have also featured helicopters, K-9s and their handlers, giving children the chance to see equipment they may normally only encounter from a distance — and meet the men and women behind it.
More Than Just Really Cool Vehicles
Touch-A-Truck is designed to be fun, but it also serves an important purpose.
Children often see police cars, fire trucks, ambulances and other emergency vehicles when something has gone wrong. Touch-A-Truck gives them an opportunity to meet first responders in a positive, relaxed environment — when there is no emergency.
They can ask questions, learn about the equipment, discover what different agencies do and get to know the people behind the uniforms.
It’s an opportunity to build connections between local families and the first responders who serve their communities every day.

Participation varies each year, and the official lineup of agencies, vehicles, aircraft and special attractions for the 4th Annual Touch-A-Truck will be announced as the event approaches.
Coming This Fall
The date, time and location for the 4th Annual Touch-A-Truck will be announced closer to the fall.
Admission will once again be FREE, so families throughout Calhoun County can come out, explore, learn and meet some of the first responders who help keep our communities safe.
